Delete your Wordlore account

Effective date: 2026-09-07

This page explains how to delete your Wordlore account, what is removed, and which records remain under the retention periods or criteria below.

Wordlore is published by Gator Play Private Limited.

Before you start

Requesting deletion starts a seven-calendar-day cancellation period. Protected account features are frozen immediately. The app shows the exact deadline. If you do not cancel before it, the request can no longer be cancelled. A scheduled process finalizes deletion, erases cloud saves, and forfeits remaining account-protected Ink from verified rewarded ads. The erased cloud saves and balance cannot be recovered from the deleted account by linking the same provider identity again.

Cloud Save is enabled for explicitly linked accounts. Linking Google, Sign in with Apple, or Game Center on iOS creates account-linked cloud saves through Firebase/Google Cloud. Guest progress is not uploaded to Wordlore Cloud Save unless you explicitly link an account.

Account deletion does not erase local gameplay copies on your devices. Puzzle progress and Collection may have both local and cloud copies; Ink earned through ordinary gameplay remains local. Verified rewarded-ad Ink has a separate account-protected server balance. Clear the app’s data or uninstall to remove local copies. This is separate from deleting cloud saves.

Deleting your Wordlore account does not delete your Apple Account or Game Center account. Game Center linking is separate from Sign in with Apple.

Wordlore does not offer paid Ink packs or other in-app purchases in this release.

Option 1 — delete from inside the app

  1. Open Wordlore.
  2. Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
  3. Read the summary of what is erased and what is retained.
  4. Confirm the request and follow any fresh sign-in verification requested by the app. If Sign in with Apple is linked, fresh Apple authorization is required so Wordlore can revoke that authorization.
  5. Record the exact deletion deadline shown in the app. This device is signed out and protected features remain frozen during the cancellation period.

If authentication, Apple revocation, or the server request fails, the app does not report deletion as scheduled. If status cannot be verified, deletion is unavailable until the service can confirm it.

Cancel a pending request

Before the displayed deadline, sign in again with the same provider and choose Keep my account. Signing in alone does not cancel deletion. Choosing Continue deletion signs this device out and leaves the original deadline unchanged. At or after the deadline, cancellation is no longer possible.

After cancellation is confirmed by the server, protected features are re-enabled, Cloud Save resumes, and verified Ink is reconciled in the background. Ordinary puzzle play remains available.

Sign out is separate from deletion. It ends this device’s account session and stops its account-linked synchronization without deleting existing cloud saves or scheduling a deletion request.

During the cancellation period

Protected online features, including Cloud Save, remain frozen. Existing cloud saves are retained during the cancellation period; local gameplay copies stay on the device. After the deadline, a trusted scheduled process finalizes the request even if you never open Wordlore again. Temporary service failures are retried without extending the cancellation deadline.

Option 2 — request deletion on the web

Use this route if you cannot open the app, for example because you no longer have the device.

Email support@gatorplay.in with the subject line “Delete my Wordlore account”, preferably from the email address linked to the provider you used with Wordlore when that address is available. A provider such as Game Center may not supply an email address; tell support which provider you used.

Include:

  • the sign-in provider you used (Google, Sign in with Apple, or Game Center on iOS);
  • the approximate date you first linked it; and
  • the platform you played on (Android or iOS).

Do not send passwords, Google or Apple sign-in codes, authentication tokens, ad callback parameters, payment details, or government identity documents.

Account ownership and any required provider authorization must be verified before a request can be accepted. Support explains the secure verification steps for your request. We do not disclose account information to an unverified requester, and an email alone is not proof of ownership. Where Apple is linked, the required authorization must also allow Wordlore to revoke Sign in with Apple. Sending an email alone does not schedule or complete deletion.

Support confirms the accepted request, its exact cancellation deadline, and how to cancel before that deadline without reopening or reinstalling the app.

Game Center-only accounts: Game Center normally does not supply a provider email that support can use to verify ownership. Open Wordlore on an iOS device signed in to the same Game Center player and use the in-app deletion route. If Game Center itself is inaccessible, support will direct you to Apple account recovery; an unrelated email cannot prove ownership. You may contact support for guidance, but an email-only deletion or cancellation route is not available for a Game Center-only account without verified provider access. Before the deadline, cancel in Wordlore using that same Game Center player and explicitly choose Keep my account.

If you cannot access the provider-linked address—including an inaccessible Apple private-relay address—we cannot accept an ad screenshot, security question, or a different unverified address as substitute proof. The request cannot be completed until ownership and any required provider authorization can be verified securely.

We respond within the period required by applicable law and aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days. After successful deletion, support sends a short confirmation in the verified email thread without an account id, balance, provider identifier, or reward data.

What is deleted

  • Your Wordlore account, linked provider identifiers (including the Game Center player identifier when selected), and any provider-supplied email held in Firebase Authentication.
  • Wordlore’s linked Sign in with Apple authorization, where applicable.
  • Your cloud-saved puzzle progress, unfinished boards, completed-level records and scores, Collection card records, Daily streak, Hidden Lore discoveries and display selections, and appearance preference. Other general app settings remain local and are not part of Cloud Save.
  • Your remaining account-protected rewarded Ink balance.
  • Account-linked verified reward-grant records.
  • Any open rewarded-ad sessions associated with the account.

What is kept, and for how long

The separate reward-verification record is pseudonymized by removing its direct Wordlore account identifier. It retains opaque session/replay identifiers, provider, granted Ink amount, and reward/deletion timestamps to prevent a verified ad completion being claimed twice. This is not a purchase receipt or tax record, and pseudonymized does not mean fully anonymous.

A temporary deletion-security record remains keyed by the deleted account identifier to block stale sign-in tokens. It contains only policy and deletion/expiry timestamps, not your email, balance, or gameplay history. Automatic expiry is asynchronous, so physical removal is not immediate at the configured expiry time.

Analytics and diagnostics support product measurement and reliability and do not contain your Wordlore account identifier. The redacted deletion receipt records only a request id, policy version, timestamps, and outcome. Support correspondence and verification data are used to verify and fulfill the request. Their separate retention periods or criteria are listed below.

  • Reward records and replay keys: While needed to verify rewarded Ink and prevent the same ad completion from granting Ink again; the direct Wordlore account identifier is removed when deletion is finalized.
  • Temporary deletion-security record: Eligible for automatic removal two hours after account-deletion finalization; physical removal is asynchronous and may take longer.
  • Analytics events: 14 months.
  • Crash diagnostics: 90 days.
  • Redacted deletion receipt: 90 days after the deletion request is closed.
  • Support messages: While needed to handle and follow up on the request, resolve related disputes, or meet applicable legal obligations; this covers messages and attachments held by our email provider.
  • Verification data: While needed to verify authority and process the deletion request; correspondence follows the separate support-message criteria.

Advertising data held by Google is subject to Google’s own policy. You can manage it through Google’s advertising controls at https://myadcenter.google.com.

Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

After deletion

After successful finalization, the confirmation distinguishes the erased account, cloud saves, and balance from the limited pseudonymized reward-verification, temporary deletion-security, and operational records kept under the retention periods or criteria above. It does not claim that every record disappeared.

  • After successful finalization, linking the same provider identity again creates a new Wordlore account. Deleted cloud saves and the deleted rewarded balance do not return from the old account. Remaining local progress can be uploaded to the new account if you explicitly link it again.
  • Verified rewarded Ink from the deleted account cannot be restored.
  • Other devices still signed into the deleted account stop being able to synchronize its cloud saves or spend or receive account-protected Ink the next time they contact us. Ink earned through play on those devices remains local and is untouched.
