Wordlore Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of Wordlore version 0.1.0, published by Gator Play Private Limited. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who may use Wordlore

Wordlore is designed for a mixed audience that includes children and older players.

You may use Wordlore if you are old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under that age, you may use Wordlore only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Online account protection and advertising are available only where permitted by applicable law, platform rules, and the protective age treatment in the Privacy Policy.

Personal licence

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Wordlore for personal, non-commercial entertainment, subject to these Terms and the rules of the store from which you obtained it.

You may not sell, sublicense, unlawfully copy, interfere with, reverse engineer where prohibited by law, or use the app or its content to violate another person’s rights.

Ink and virtual items

Ink is a virtual in-game currency used for hint help. It has no monetary value, is not a stored-value or payment instrument, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred, sold, or gifted to another person.

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use Ink inside Wordlore. You do not own it. Ink is consumed when spent.

In this release, Ink is earned through play or received as a disclosed grant after an optional rewarded advertisement. Paid Ink packs and other in-app purchases are not offered.

Advertising

Wordlore may offer an optional rewarded video from the Ink control, after some completed boards, when returning to an unfinished crossing after a meaningful absence, or when Ink is insufficient. Every video requires a separate Watch action and discloses its reward. Watching is never required to finish a puzzle.

Wordlore may also show a non-rewarded interstitial after an eligible completed board. It is paced by completion count, minimum time spacing, a daily cap, and suppression after a rewarded ad. We may change or disable that pacing remotely, but do not place an interstitial during active board interaction.

A standard banner may appear in a reserved area separated from gameplay controls. It grants no Ink and is suppressed where screen space or enlarged text requires that room. All ad formats follow the applicable audience and consent requirements.

Ads are supplied by Google and their content is not created or controlled by us. The applicable privacy state is resolved before an ad request, and you can change your choice from the privacy-options entry in Settings where your region requires one.

Ads are requested as non-personalized. The v1 app excludes access to Android’s advertising ID and Apple’s IDFA and does not use app data for cross-app tracking.

Ink from a rewarded ad is credited only after provider server-side verification. If an ad fails to load, is closed early, or cannot be verified, no Ink is granted. We may apply reasonable frequency limits and anti-fraud measures, and may withhold or reverse grants obtained through replay, tampering, or interference with the app or ad provider.

Your Wordlore account

Signing in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or Game Center on iOS is optional for ordinary gameplay. Cloud Save is enabled for explicitly linked accounts. It uses Firebase/Google Cloud to back up and synchronize puzzle progress, unfinished boards, completed-level records and scores, Collection, Daily streak, Hidden Lore discoveries and display selections, and your appearance preference. Synchronization requires an internet connection; it is not a guarantee that every local change has already been backed up.

Verified rewarded-ad Ink has a separate account-protected server balance. Ink earned through play remains local and is not included in Cloud Save. Other general app settings remain on the device; only the appearance preference is cloud-saved. Guest progress is not uploaded to Wordlore Cloud Save unless you explicitly link an account.

Game Center linking is an explicit choice on iOS, separate from Sign in with Apple. Being signed in to Game Center on the device does not automatically link Wordlore. It does not enable Game Center leaderboards, achievements, or friends-list access in Wordlore. Use the same original provider to recover your account; choosing another provider does not automatically merge accounts. Deleting Wordlore’s account does not delete your Apple Account or Game Center account.

You are responsible for keeping access to the sign-in provider you choose. You may delete your Wordlore account from Settings or at https://gatorplay.in/delete-account/. An accepted request immediately freezes protected features and starts a seven-calendar-day cancellation period. Sign in with the same provider and explicitly choose Keep my account before the displayed deadline to cancel. Signing in alone does not cancel deletion. After the deadline, scheduled finalization permanently removes the account, its cloud saves, and remaining account-protected rewarded Ink. Limited pseudonymized reward-verification records, a temporary deletion-security record keyed by the deleted account identifier, and operational records follow the retention periods or criteria described in our Privacy Policy.

Signing out stops this device’s account-linked synchronization and ends its account session. It does not schedule account deletion or erase the account or existing cloud saves.

Local progress and recovery

Your puzzle progress, Collection, Ink earned through play, and a local view of your Ink balance are stored on your device. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes that local state, but does not delete your cloud saves. Previously synchronized progress can be restored and combined after you link the same Wordlore account and connect to the service. Unsynchronized guest or offline changes may be lost when local data is cleared. Your operating system may also make its own device backups, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Account-protected Ink from verified rewarded ads can be reconciled after you sign in to the same Wordlore account; Ink earned only through play cannot be recovered through Cloud Save once local data is cleared. Account deletion does not erase local gameplay copies on your devices. Linking a new account can upload those remaining copies again; it does not restore deleted cloud saves or the deleted account’s rewarded Ink.

Content and intellectual property

Wordlore, its puzzle content, writing, illustrations, audio, trademarks, and software are owned by or licensed to Gator Play Private Limited and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of that content.

Fair use of online services

Do not attempt to obtain Ink other than through the methods Wordlore provides. Tampering with local state, network traffic, the advertising provider, reward verification, or the app is a breach of these Terms. We may reverse affected grants and, where abuse is serious or repeated, suspend access to online services.

Ending these Terms

You may stop using Wordlore at any time by uninstalling it, and may delete your account as described above.

We may suspend or end access to online services, or to the app, if you materially breach these Terms or if required by law or a platform store. Where reasonable, we will tell you why first and give you an opportunity to put it right.

If your account is deleted, remaining account-protected rewarded Ink is forfeited as described above. Sections that by their nature should survive—intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law—continue to apply.

Platform stores

Wordlore is distributed through Google Play and the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to those stores’ terms.

These Terms are between you and Gator Play Private Limited only, and not with Apple or Google. Gator Play Private Limited, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for Wordlore and its content. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Wordlore. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price paid for the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to it. Gator Play Private Limited is responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory non-compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual-property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

The app-warranty provision above does not offer paid Ink or activate in-app purchases in this release.

Availability and changes

We may correct content, improve features, or discontinue support. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Offline play still depends on compatible hardware, operating-system behaviour, and store services for installation and updates. Cloud Save, consent, ads, verified rewards, configuration, analytics, and diagnostics require a network connection.

Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, Wordlore is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly required by applicable consumer law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Gator Play Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer, privacy, or other legal rights. Any dispute may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part is modified to the minimum extent necessary or removed, and the rest remains in effect.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, providers, or applicable requirements change. The published page will show the effective date of the current version. Any future activation of paid items or personalized advertising requires a new disclosure and Terms review before release.
